Snitz Creek Park Expanded

Alternative One formalizes the gravel parking lot, providing up to 120 parking spaces. The parking lot is divided by a crosswalk for access from the picnic/splash pad area to the existing restroom building. The parking lot access drive at Freeman Drive is narrowed to a typical access drive width, allowing for sidewalks. These sidewalks are are connected to the south side of Snitz Park by crosswalks and additional pedestrian walkways that extend through the wooded area to the west of the access drive.
There are pickleball courts added to the southern portion of Snitz Park as shown below. Pedestrian walkways and picnic areas are proposed, as well as a restroom/pavilion area for convienence for those on the south portino of hte park. The final design will include bike racks, benches, and restoration of eroding sections of Snitz Creek.

Alternative Two reduces the existing gravel parking area but still allows for 85 parking spaces. The pedestrian access is enhanced as persons walking from the community garden/splash pad area don't walk through the parking lot. The existing access drive to the parking lot from Freeman Drive narrowed to a typical access drive width, which allows room for sidewalks to connect to Freeman Drive. These sidewalks are are connected to the south side of Snitz Park by crosswalks and pedestrian walkway and trail extensions.
There is a bike pump track in the available space north of the existing baseball/football field.
